Mr. A Praveen Reddy

Independent Director (Current)

Mr. A Praveen Reddy, a management graduate and an ex-MLA from Husnabad, is the president of Mulukanoor Rural Co-operative Bank and Marketing Society. He was awarded the “Best Cooperator”, by the Government of Andhra Pradesh on the occasion of centenary celebrations of the cooperative movement in India.

Building on the foundation laid by his father Mr. Vishwanath Reddy, he has enabled an impressive increase in the revenue of the bank. During his tenure as president, he has established godowns in every village, computerised the entire business and enabled the supply of good quality seeds to farmers.#

Mr. P. Mohanaiah

Independent Director (Current)

Mr. Mohanaiah is a retired Chief General Manager of NABARD. Trained as an economist, Mr. Mohanaiah held important positions throughout his career in different organizations. He led two Regional Offices of NABARD (West Bengal, 2007-2010 and Andhra Pradesh, 2010-2012) to the top slot among all the major Regional Offices of NABARD consecutively. These ROs recorded all round achievement in terms of business development, promotional initiatives, supervisory oversight and other aspects. NABARD became a household name in these two states during this period in view of Mr. Mohanaiah's ‘people centric’ approach.

A postgraduate in Economics from Osmania University, Mr. Mohanaiah brings rich and a varied experience in Banking and Rural Development. He started his career as a Branch Manager in Nagarjuna Grameena Bank (NGB) in the Khammam District of Andhra Pradesh. Over 35 years, he has served in NGB, Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and NABARD in various capacities. He has worked in various locations including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, North Eastern States and West Bengal.

Mr. G. V. Krishnagopal

Executive Director

A rural management professional from IRMA, he is passionate about working with the economically marginalized in their efforts to transform their lives and be self-reliant. His experience in the development sector extends to over 15 years primarily with specific focus in development of producer owned organizations (cooperatives and producer companies). He has had the opportunity to be the Manager_ Dairy Cooperative Promotion in Cooperative Development Foundation to promote, design and develop India's first all - women cooperative dairy enterprise at Mulukanoor, Karimnagar District, Andhra Pradesh. He later worked with Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty on extending support to self help groups of women in Srikakulam District, Andhra Pradesh where they were enabled to manage the large self sustaining food security program.

His areas of interests include enterprise promotion, employment generation, cooperatives and producer companies, managerial applications for development and institution development. He extends consulting services on evaluation & assessment, strategic & business planning, capacity building, research & studies. He has presented papers including: “Tribal Livelihoods – Emerging Initiatives” – in a National Seminar on Tribal Livelihoods and “Role of Cooperatives in Financial Inclusion” to College of Agricultural Banking, Reserve Bank of India. He has also represented the interest of farmers and producers in National Advisory Committee Meetings.

Mr. G. V. Sarat Kumar

Mr. G. V. Sarat Kumar is a rural management graduate from Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA). He has over 12 years of experience in development sector; more than three and half years at the grassroots level. He has experience in community health, human resource management and livelihood promotion.

His areas of interest are youth employment, artisan livelihoods, and business plan development. He has extended consulting services to various organizations like Indian Cooperative Union, Kotak Education Foundation, World Vision India, Odisha Watershed Development Mission and NABARD.

Mr. Satya Dev G

Executive Director

Mr. Satya Dev G is a rural management graduate from Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA). He has over 14 years of experience in livelihoods promotion, establishment of collective enterprises (especially Agri and Dairy based), community institutions, micro finance, capacity building and ICT applications for economically marginalized. His key expertise areas are strategic planning, business plan development, institutions development, capacity building, monitoring & impact assessment and ICT applications. He has executed baseline, feasibility studies, market assessment, value chain analysis, strategic and business plans and management systems of more than 20 projects related to agriculture, dairy and tribal livelihoods for more than 10 organizations. He has provided support for promotion of more than 25 cooperatives, producer companies and federations on micro finance, dairy and agriculture produce, artisans across India.

He has imparted training to more than 50 training & TOT programmes and prepared training manuals on livelihood and enterprise promotion, business planning, SHG bank linkages, micro credit planning and institution development. Another feather on his cap is that he has received accolade from YESI Award in ICT for development of e-financing portal. His interests are travelling and trekking.

Dr. Yerram Raju Behara

Ex Independent Director

A distinguished banker-turned economist and management consultant with four and half decades of multi-sector experience, Dr. Yerram Raju is a specialist in agricultural economics, corporate governance and financial risk management. He currently holds the position of Director (Projects & Research) in Development and Research Services Pvt. Ltd. Prior to this, he was Regional Director, Professional Risk Managers' International Association. He is a retainer consultant of the Government of Andhra Pradesh on Cooperative Reforms in Banking and Law. His experience in banking comes from a career at State Bank of India that lasted nearly three decades. His academic and consulting stints were at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Administrative Staff College of India, Institute of Public Enterprise and Indian Institute of Economics. He was also the editor-in-chief of Asian Economic Review for a year. He is also a visiting professor on risk management at the Institute for Development Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT), set up by the Reserve Bank of India and Institute of Small Enterprise Development, Cochin.

He was the recipient of Sir S. Radhakrishnan Teacher of Teachers Award from the Siv Sivani Institute of Management. On the writing front, he has authored 14 books and more than 550 articles in leading national and international journals and reputed financial dailies in India. Prominent among them are books on Corporate Governance in Banks and Financing Institutions published by Tata McGraw Hill, two on Rural Banking, and three on the SME sector. He has served on committees of the Government of India and also the boards of mid-sized corporate and cooperative development institutions

Dr. N. V. Belavadi

Ex Independent Director

Dr. N.V. Belavadi is a development professional with over 4 decades of experience. He is currently engaged as a Consultant/Advisor to NDDB Dairy Services. Earlier, he was a member on the Board of NDDB. He has had the privilege of working with NDDB for nearly four decades in the areas of spearheading the organization of dairy cooperative structure, coordinating with dairy federations and milk unions for implementation of various activities under Operation Flood Program, designing and developing education and training/orientation programs for dairy cooperative members, and functionaries of village dairy cooperatives, steering the development and implementation of orientation/training programmes for Board of Directors of milk unions. He was also heading the Southern Regional Office, planning and executing all NDDB projects in the region. He has assisted the management of the Dairy Board on policy issues and represented the organization in various forums including meetings with the Government of India, State Governments and other agencies.

He was a visiting faculty at Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA), teaching cooperative law from 1991-2003. He has closely worked with the Cooperative Initiative Panel, which was actively involved in advocacy efforts for reforming cooperative legislation. He also served as Chairman, Indian Dairy Association for South Zone.

Prof. K.V. Raju

Ex Independent Director

Prof. Raju is the first director of the Development Management Institute (DMI), Patna. DMI has been established with the support of the Government of Bihar, Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (BRLPS) and COMFED.

An alumnus (second batch, 1981-83) of Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), Prof. Raju was till 2014 a member of the IRMA faculty. Prior to joining IRMA as faculty in general management area in 1994, Prof. Raju worked with various organizations including National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), Samakhya and Multi Co-ops’ Association. He worked closely with farmers to organize co-operative structures to collectively pool, process and market their produce. He assisted enterprises by offering comprehensive business counselling, management training, member education and field based action research activities. His current interests include governance and management of collective enterprises, sustainable livelihoods, social entrepreneurship, value and ethics in management and development cooperation.

He has 10 years of field experience and 20 years of academic engagement.

He has contributed to various books chapters on cooperation and development, enhancing livelihoods and ethics and values. He has done research on “Growing Rural-Urban Disparities in India” in collaboration with other institutes. He researched on “Growing Rural-Urban Disparities in Gujarat”. He was also a part of a long-term collaborative research project on “Rural Livelihood Systems and Sustainable Management of Natural Resources in Semi-Arid Areas of India.” He has undertaken consulting assignments for various organizations. Some of them are SRIJAN, NABARD, Sir Ratan Tata Trust and Christian Children’s Fund.

Mr. Amitabh Guha

First Chairperson

Mr. Amitabh Guha was first Chairperson of ALC India. Currently he is Non-Executive Part Time Independent Chairman of the Board of South Indian Bank Ltd. He started his career in 1972 along with State Bank Group and retired as the MD of State Bank of Hyderabad. He is a visionary having substantial exposure in the Banking Industry and has served in various verticals of the State Bank Group. He is the Board of Governors, Asian Institute of Business Management; Bhubaneswar. He is the member of Indian Banks Association (IBA Finance); Advisory board of ICFAI Business School, Hyderabad.

During his career he held several positions of importance in State Bank and its associate banks cadre. During his tenure he oversaw articulation of audit policy and procedures and inspections.

Mr. Vinod Reddy

Ex-Independent Director

Mr. Vinod Reddy was an Independent Director from 2009 – 2010 to 2013 – 2014. He is an engineer from I.I.T, Kanpur. He did his post graduation from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmadabad. Mr.Reddy made available his management skills in the service of NGOs and helped some of them achieve greater results by getting them to work in a coalition. He has over 30 years of experience in Software development, System design, Administration, Finance and Business planning, Staff development and International business development.
